Terry Rubenfeld, President of CTR Business Advisors, founded the outsource CFO practice to provide expert, affordable on-site and virtual CFO services to business owners. A CPA and former CFO, Terry is a veteran financial professional with 30 years of experience, dedicated to providing financial, operational and strategic expertise to businesses to help them grow profitability. He is versatile, resourceful and passionate about helping business owners achieve profitability by utilizing the companies’ financial information to solve critical challenges and achieve business goals. Clients are in a broad range of industries from start-ups to 30M in annual revenue.
Terry provides services critical to the functioning and success of client businesses. He is a trusted advisor to CEOs, providing financial understanding, actionable advice, implementation of solutions and monitoring of results. Services typically include making recommendations to improve cash flow, reviewing pricing models, measuring key performance indicators, streamlining of operational processes and cost reduction, client acquisition and expansion analysis, business planning, funding evaluation and related financial projections, preparing business for sale and succession planning.
Terry was previously CFO of Golden Touch Imports, an importer of women’s apparel located in Manhattan with sales of 300M. He was responsible for financial reporting, banking relationships and operational performance and systems.
A native New Yorker, Terry graduated from New York University with BS degree in accounting and management from the Stern School of Business. He currently lives on Long Island with his wife and two daughters, one currently attending NYU for Social Work and the other Babson College for business, and their two dogs. He serves as CFO for Bread Run, 501(c)(3) non-profit founded by his daughter, Danielle, to help the hungry and homeless in local communities (www.breadrun.org). The charity’s mission is to fight hunger and teach young people the importance of giving.
